The diagnose of Alexander is the child cerebral palsy, hypotonic form. Also Sasha has serious problems with sight - growing optic nerve hipoplasia. Russian doctors say he can go blind. Sasha had already passed diagnostic and rehabilitation in Singapore and China in 2008-2010. Sasha is a child who is able to improve his skills and he has good successes. Right now his hipoplasia is not growing but stabilized. The prognosis (if not continue his treatment) - disablement and waist of sight at age of 4-5 years. Sasha's ability to see right now is only till one meter distance.
The Singaporean doctors developed for us an individual program of physical rehabilitation, in which we work with Sasha. There is a correction of blood supply of optic nerves in Singapore. Also it is very important to pass through the restorative physiotherapy in China - exercise therapy, manual therapy, acupuncture for motoric of muscles and for eyes, special medical therapy and massage for children with cerebral palsy - 4-5 courses of treatment a year (more then $5000 per one trip).
